Morphology - Isoenzyme

This program is what we could call the logical continuation of the series of studies held in 2004 by Dr. Monika Konnert (Bayerische Landesanstalt für Forstliche Saat-und Pflanzenzucht, Forstamtsplatz 1, D-88317, Teissendorf, Germany) and the article that followed : « The use of isoenzyme analysis to study the dispersal of Sulcorebutia » by Johan Pot (Cactus & Co Vol. 10 n° 4 pp 235-250).


Installation : double click on “SETUP.EXE”


Instructions :

A list of 156 plants is in the middle of the window.

1. - Select one plant in the list and click on the buttons « 12 best morphology » or « 12 best Isoenzyme Analysis » and 12 plants are automatically selected (those 12 plants are the most, morphologicaly or following the isoenzym analysis, similar to the first selected plant.)

     or

     - Manually select a number of plants (minimum 4) in the list.

 

2. Click on the buttons « Cladogram star morphology » and « Cladogram star Isoenzyme analysis » and two star shaped cladograms of the selected plants will be displayed and you have the opportunity to compare them.


3. Click on the buttons « Cladogram tree morphology » and « Cladogram tree Isoenzyme analysis » and two tree shaped cladograms of the selected plants will be displayed and you have the opportunity to compare them.

      

4. Click the button « Reset » before a new search or manually select or unselect plants in the current list.


The morphological characters used for the SulcoMania DVD have been used for this program.
